QRC has created a tool for accurately predicting the coverage of an RF emitter. Be it a base station, intercept device, or even a jammer, our software will allow you to predict the coverage of the emitter based on antenna pattern and underlying terrain. The tool has been designed as an alternative to expensive high-end network planning tools making it a cost effective solution for deployment to field engineers, site acquisition personnel, marketing departments and other technical and non-technical users. It is highly optimized for predicting and displaying wireless coverage in the fastest and most effortless manner possible.
The streamlined intuitive user interface, requiring minimal user input, allows users with all skill levels to easily see the expected coverage for an existing or proposed site. In one simple step, a user can create a coverage plot that can be further enhanced by manipulating colors, adding annotations such as labels and logos, to create high impact presentations that can be presented to customers with confidence. Coverage plot parameters can be easily edited to see 'what if' scenarios, making it possible to optimize the reach of new or existing site locations.
Coverage predictions are based on a highly detailed propagation model, which uses advanced ray tracing algorithms to accurately determine the diffraction and reflection effects caused by irregular terrain upon radio signals. Parameters such as slope and intercept can optionally be customized to tune the model to correspond with your measured data observations. The terrain and signal propagation can be visualized in both 2D and 3D views to create stunning and informative plots. A three second (approximately 90 meter spacing) terrain database covering the entire US is provided. 30-second terrain data is available worldwide. Additionally, custom high-resolution terrain databases can be obtained for many parts of the world.
