NETWORK CHARACTERIZATION

ICS-ModPayload

Remote Collection System for Cellular Network Survey and Characterization

MISSION BRIEF

About the ICS-ModPayload

ICS-ModPayload is an advanced cellular network characterization payload that surveys the environment and records the metadata of detected control channels and the information therein. These completely passive measurements are obtained without handshaking or any additional interfacing with the communications network.

This payload design is compliant with modular payload design standard Revision 5.0 and is used for UAS, manned aircraft, and small maritime vessels. ICS-ModPayload is capable of surveying 2G-5G (FR1) and has been designed to support both the evolution of 5G non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) networks.

Highlighted features of the DCode Pro software include: The Ground Control Software can be used to manually control the payload during operation. Passive Basestation Location (PBL) Ground & Air provides the geographic positions of cellular sectors from ground or airborne surveys, respectively, and are optional add-on features.
